How language is used by the manipulative media plays a very big role in shaping public opinion.

Take the so-called “bathroom bill” before the Texas Legislature. In almost every news report the bill is presented as being “anti” – anti-transgender, anti-freedom, anti-rights, anti-inclusiveness, anti-modern, and etc. With the bill in question “anti” is anti-normalcy by the social revolutionaries of the Left who oppose the bill.

It is the opponents of bill who seek to overturn custom.

As I understand it, the bill would require that facilities for using the restroom as well as locker rooms and the like in public schools and other government buildings would be restricted to those of the sex for which those facilities were designed and have always been used. The restriction is not something new but keeping the rules that have existed in society for generations. It is the opponents of bill who seek to overturn custom.

The bill is actually pro-freedom in that it protects private property rights from being trampled by local ordinances which force property owners to allow anyone into any bathroom, fitting room, locker room and shower facility, etc. The Left has been passing local ordinances which make private property owners subject to show trials and fines for having such simple things as separate bathrooms for women and men.

…it is opponents of the “bathroom bill” which are attempting to use government to force change in the behavior and viewpoint of private citizens.

The media can trivialize the issue and present it as anti- this or that but such mischaracterization doesn’t change the reality that it is opponents of the “bathroom bill” which are attempting to use government to force change in the behavior and viewpoint of private citizens.

They can hide behind being pro-homosexual but what they are advocating is pro-government control of private property and personal values.
