The manager of Gulf Street Liquor experienced a day anything but routine when a person entered his Beaumont store and waited for all other customers to leave. At that point the would-be robber is alleged to have approached the manager and demanded he “give me all your money.”
I did what I had to do. He’s not leaving the store with any money.
Being a prepared True Texan, the manager of the store drew his weapon while under threat and fired on the suspect. According to Beaumont Fire Dispatch, the suspect was shot in the lower part of the part of the body and was taken to hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.
The store manager told KFDM: “I did what I had to do. He’s not leaving the store with any money.”
