From the Houston Chronicle: “The incident happened about 5:20 a.m. in the … Huffman area, said Deputy Thomas Gilliland, spokesman for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
“Gilliland said a man who apparently had broken into parked cars in the neighborhood overnight, grabbed a brick outside the home and smashed a window in the front door. The homeowner heard the glass breaking, grabbed his handgun and then saw the suspect reaching through the broken window to unlock the door. The homeowner fired two gunshots at the suspect, wounding him. … The homeowner and his wife, who were in the home at the time of the gunfire, were not injured.”
