“The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. when an unidentified man allegedly knocked on the door of the home of an off-duty Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constable in the 7100 block of North Main, authorities said. When the deputy constable asked the man what he wanted, the two became involved in an argument, authorities said.
“After asking the man to leave several times, the deputy constable called 911 requesting back-up, authorities said. When the deputy constable returned outside, the suspect was in his own vehicle and attempted to drive toward him.
“The deputy constable then ran into the street to get out of the way of the vehicle. The suspect then got out of his car, walking toward the deputy constable with a knife, authorities said.
