Victoria police responded to the scene at 1:31 a.m. Sunday morning in reference to a burglary of a building. A 43-year-old man, Jesus Martinez, was shot apparently by a shop owner in the 1000 block of West Constitution Street.
The man who was shot was transported to DeTar Navarro with non-life threatening injuries, according to a statement from Victoria Police Department spokeswoman Tanya Brown.
