Dallas police say Matthew Wayne Richardson entered the Metro PCS wireless store at 2614 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. around 6:45 p.m. Friday and told the customers inside to lie down on the floor.
An employee in the back room heard the commotion, grabbed a gun and came out firing.
Richardson, 25, was shot and taken to a hospital in critical condition, police say. He later died from his injuries, police said.
