From KLTV: The sheriff said that on Tuesday at about 1 p.m., the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home invasion taking place in Wills Point.
The homeowner was sent to the hospital due to injuries sustained during the altercation.
The man who is alleged to have broken into the home died as a result of a gunshot wound; the deceased male was identified as 42-year-old Gaylen St. John of Canton.
