Via Breitbart Texas: “One of the victims told KHOU-CBS11 reporter Adam Bennett he heard one of the suspects say, “‘’Hey, give me your money.’ Well, I don’t carry cash, I just have a card. So I put up my card and my ID, and I was like, ‘Hey man this is all I have.’” He said the suspect slapped the items from his hand.
At that time, his brother pulled out his gun and shot the suspect twice in the chest, Bennett reported.
“As soon as he shot him, I ran over there and kicked him in his face twice because I don’t know if he was dead or not,” said the shooter. “Kicked him twice in his face, tried to clear his gun, but it turned out to be a fake. It wasn’t even real.”
Police told KHOU the toy gun was an Airsoft gun that did not have an orange tip.
The man then shot at the second suspect and emptied his 12-round magazine. The robbery victim said Houston police told them the man later showed up at a hospital and had been struck seven times.
