The Tyler Morning Telegraph reports: “Billing records show Smith County commissioners are fighting a subpoena from the Texas Attorney General’s Office, which is investigating whether the court violated the Texas Open Meetings Act during a July 2014 executive session regarding speed cameras in school zones.
“Commissioners said in May they would cooperate fully with the Attorney General’s investigation. But bills from Ron Stutes, of the Potter Minton law firm, show they’ve filed a motion to quash the AG’s subpoena seeking the executive session recording.
