“A gun-carrying neighbor stopped an apparent home invasion from happening late Saturday night, shooting and killing a suspect in the process.

“According to witnesses at the scene, four to eight male suspect arrived at a home in the area in two cars, an SUV and a white four-door sedan, and the group began to force its way into the home. A male neighbor walking nearby noticed what was happening and pulled out his own handgun and confronted the men.
“He shot at one of the suspects, killing him, in an exchange of gunfire. The rest of the group fled the scene in the SUV leaving the other car behind which was reported to be stolen.”
