A homeowner shot and critically wounded a burglary suspect Wednesday morning in northeast Houston. The shooting happened about 10:40 a.m. in the 2400 block of Sumpter near Carr, according to the Houston Police Department.
Police said the wounded man was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital. Details of his wound were not released but police said he was in critical condition. The homeowner was not hurt.
