- Texas Professors Warn Allowing Guns In Class Will Inhibit Free Speech – What is it about this issue that these folk can’t understand that there is nothing preventing guns in classrooms now other than a rule? By definition those likely to commit crimes are not concerned with the law. The objection to licensed concealed carry people having a gun in the classroom is that somehow the law abiding are more likely to commit a crime than criminals. It is absurd from every angle. Add to that that Texas studies show it to be likely fewer than 2% of all students who have a license to carry and it seems clear that these are hyperbolic fears at best.
- Campus carry fuels white privilege, criminalization of Black people – Wow! This will really surprise my black and brown friends who all have concealed carry licenses. It will really surprise the black man who lets us use his building for CHL classes.
