Pataki is wrong, we do not have to “respect” Bruce Jenner’s choice

Former New York Governor George Pataki, one of the Republicans running for president, when talking about Bruce Jenner now living as if he were a woman, said “in a government where it’s supposed to be of the people, if someone chooses the path that’s different from mine, we should respect that as opposed to mocking it.”

And here is exactly what Pataki and all the others have wrong who cower in front of a liberal popular culture which celebrates all the wrong things and denigrates the good: We have no obligation to “respect” the paths chosen by other people.

As lovers of Liberty and defenders of such, we are to respect the right of people to choose paths different from our own but, that is far removed from respecting the actual choices, the paths in Pataki’s words, chosen.

“…using the Left’s own Darwinian view, to respect and enable choices which are not helpful to the propagation of a society is to doom it to destruction. “

Here you have an example of how screwed up our culture has become due to thought propaganda from the Left. Even people who are supposed to be the opposition to schemes of the Left adopt the language and attitudes of the enemy. [Much like using the soft term “gay” as opposed to the accurate “homosexual”.]

A healthy society does not “respect” choices made which can be deemed immoral or in some way harmful to the overall health of that society and its ability to grow and dominate. In fact using the Left’s own Darwinian view, to respect and enable choices which are not helpful to the propagation of a society is to doom it to destruction.

Pataki is quite wrong in his comments about Jenner. We should respect his freedom, his Liberty, but there is nothing legitimate about saying we should respect his specific choice. Otherwise we’d have to support all choices which lead to our own destruction.
