“…the homeowner said he was awakened by the sound of his garage door opening and his dogs growling. The homeowner told police he then grabbed a semi-automatic pistol and went to investigate.
“The homeowner said he went out the door going into the garage and saw a man walking from the driveway near his truck toward the garage, police said. That’s when the homeowner told police he yelled at the man to stop.
“The man then took off running and the homeowner fired one round from his pistol, police said. It was not known whether or not the man was struck by the bullet.”
