- Most mispronounced Texas city names – I only missed Manchaca, Colmesneil, & Lake Buchanan (which I refuse to say they way they represent it), Many of these depend upon who is pronouncing it, Spanish speakers in many of these places (and sometimes that’s more than half the residents) don’t often say it the Anglicanized way. Most of the name’s I say differently on the air is for fun, for effect. However, some of these Spanish names I simply refuse to mispronounce.
