Freedom isn’t possible if offense is banned

Unless we get a handle on the brainwashing and cultural rot in our society, there will be no turning back from the road to ruin no matter how many election victories we achieve.

Another sign the end is near comes from Arlington ISD where we find that the public school district has banned a football team T-shirt because someone inferred that it had something to do with rape. Then a modern typical brainwashed school newspaper editor, one Jerred Osterman and his fellow liberals-in-training, had to amplify the weird take on the slogan in an editorial.

NBCDFW reports “Osterman said neither he nor his staff questions the motivation of the players or their message of team unity behind the shirt — only the wording of the message and how it might be perceived. “It’s inappropriate, and it’s not something that you want to represent Martin with,” Osterman said.”

” The shirt reads “Martin Football” in big gray letters above an image of a Native American man that represents the school’s Warrior mascot. To the left of the man is a pirate flag, with a skull and crossbones, along with the words “We take what we want,” and below the flag is the phrase “Shhhhhhh just let it happen,” NBCDFW reported.

My inference is that it means don’t talk about being big-time but rather, keep your mouth shut and prove your winning ways by how you play. That is certainly the context of the shirt. But no, one girl goes to the school paper’s young thought-police-in-training and complains that it’s about sexual rape and her complaint overrules context and sanity.

How is it possible to have a free society in which anyone’s claim of little more than personal offense is enough for government authority to act to suppress the freedom of others? You can’t.
