Abilene Girl Scouts sent 468 boxes of cookies to Dyess AFB troops deployed overseas.

Girl Scout Troop 7200 from Abilene, Texas sold 9,769 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies during the 2014 cookie season. Of those boxes, 468 of them were sent overseas to our troops through our Project Troop to Troop through Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. They were sent with the 40th squadron that deployed out of Dyess Air Force Base this month! Troop 7200 has 27 active girls from 1st grade-8th grade and 50% of these girls have an active military parent and one of them is currently deployed and several more deploy in the next couple of months!! Last year the girls sent over 200 boxes to our military overseas and this year’s goal was 400 boxes which they met by several more over.
