Julian Castro demonstrates a problem with Democrat identity politics

Pratt on Texas“Former Obama Housing Secretary Julian Castro Drops Out of Democratic Presidential Primary,” was a January 2nd headline on the Associated Press wire. The AP story begins with the identity politics line that the aptly named Castro is the “only Latino in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race.”

The young Obama clone who served as HUD secretary in the Obama administration, has in his resume one other claim to having done something leadership-wise in his life: being the mayor of San Antonio. But the problem with that mayor gig is that it’s not an executive leadership job because San Antonio has a city manager form of government.

Julian Castro represents a real problem Democrats have with Hispanics in Texas and elsewhere.

Castro and his member of Congress twin brother are most famed for being the children of a bigoted radical mother who was a founder of a ethnicity-based political party in Texas and who sees everything in life through the lens of racial division.

The Castro brothers rival Barack Obama in their arrogant view of themselves and likely still have a big future in far-Left politics because they are emblematic of the self-satisfied younger generations who have replaced real accomplishment and mastery with credentialism and it all being about how one feels about oneself.

Julian “Commie” Castro

Julian Castro represents a real problem Democrats have with Hispanics in Texas and elsewhere. The only reason to vote for Castro was because he was “only Latino” Democratic presidential primary race candidate but that only works for the cadre of Leftist bigots who see the world in such a manner. Most Hispanics, at least of the Texas culture are not racist bigots living a life of victimhood.
