Hey Rep. Green, political parties and movements do not own words.

Pratt on Texas“All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here — a lynching. But we will WIN!” Trump tweeted, in part, earlier this week. And he’s right, we are witnessing a political lynching hidden behind closed doors in our Capitol mirroring the very British Star Chambers our founder and framers forbade in this country. And, it’s all been aided by Leftist advocates who make up so much of our national media.

Always ready to pose as the victim of some injustice or another, Democrat Houston Congressman Al Green, the first lawmaker to call for Trump’s impeachment within months of his inauguration you may remember, took great offense to Trump’s tweet.

The emotional demagogue Green went to the floor of the House and said: “I rise today with a heavy heart and tears welling in my eyes. “ rise because how dare the president compare lynching to impeachment. How dare he do this? Does he not know the history of lynching in this country?”

We are witnessing a political lynching: predetermined guilt, complete denial of all due process, and a march directly toward a mob of Democrats carrying out the sentence they want.

Yes Representative Green, we Republicans, the real party of civil rights understand well the lynching to which you refer in the South largely by rabid racist Democrats of black people. We Republicans, the party of Lincoln who prosecuted a civil war to end the evil institution of slavery, understand well how the party you have chosen to represent, the Democratic Party, treated black folk. Why, it was your own Texas Democratic Party that held white-folk only primary elections, Representative Green.

Green and Democrats do not own terms such as lynching. In American history it is quite likely that a massively larger number of white folks were lynched than black – either way such is grotesque and one political group doesn’t get to own the term.

We are witnessing a political lynching: predetermined guilt, complete denial of all due process, and a march directly toward a mob of Democrats carrying out the sentence they want. Indeed lynching seems an appropriate analogy.
