With whom are Texas Democrats in love?

Pratt on TexasHappy St. Valentine’s Day. Want to know with whom Texas Democrats are in love?

“About two dozen Travis County sheriff’s office volunteers on Monday received training to help an underrepresented population register to vote — county jail inmates — as part of a new initiative to increase Texas participation in elections,” reports the Austin American-Statesman.

“I hope that eligible inmates will embrace the opportunity to to have their perspectives represented in our elections. Regardless of their circumstances, their votes count just like any other vote,” Bruce Elfant, the Travis County Voter Registrar said.

I hope that eligible inmates will embrace the opportunity to to have their perspectives represented in our elections. Regardless of their circumstances, their votes count just like any other vote.

It is true that many of these people are eligible to vote because they are jailed only on misdemeanor charges or are awaiting trial and have not yet been convicted of a felony. The problem Travis County officials see is that most of these inmates don’t know they are eligible to vote and it is their mission to change that.

Houston is doing the same and no doubt such is ongoing around the state.

What I find interesting is how much energy Democrats put into such things and how much pride they express in so doing. It seems that Texas Democrats of today find more pride in being jailed, being an illegal alien, or being a member of some group engaged in perverted behavior than they find in the concept of obeying the law, respecting the law, and living in an upright manner.
