Pratt post-election commentary

bullet

Democrat Klein wins run-off - this listener sums it up well
He won the run-off but sold his integrity to get it. Too bad, he might have been respectable otherwise, even as a democrat.

Early Voting Totals for District 3 Runoff Election

bullet

Klein letter to Democrat Primary voters, says he will represent "Democratic" party and "progressive" values on the Lubbock City Council (pdf) - this letter was sent before the filing deadline. Issues stance may be fine but this is a clear declaration of Democratic Party partisan intent. Klein told me specifically that he was NOT running as a partisan. He told me how the labels didn't apply to the office, etc. And yet, all along, he knew he had made this direct, partisan appeal to Democrat voters in the district calling into question everything else he has said.

Sikes throws support to Democrat Klein, casts aspersions on Glasheen - Now do you understand that Pratt was right? By the way, Sikes thinks it is bad and a conflict of interest that Glasheen owns a lot of property downtown and throughout Lubbock. Sounds like a success-hating Liberal doesn't it? I want someone on the council who suffers BIG when property taxes got up, how about you?
