HD85: Race draws donors from wide area
- Landtroop had almost double the number of in-district donors as Heflin in

|
Some local Republicans abandon important local
races, go to Nevada to campaign -
just so you know, most of these people love to claim to be "the party" and
"the workers" but few are. Most have done nothing (not even a token-show-up)
for most local campaigns and it has long been this way. They are free to go
but, the local party organization should not be encouraging this. We have a
nationally important Congressional race next-door in S. New Mexico if they
have to go somewhere - but that's not exotic enough. We have one of the 4
most important Texas House races next door to our county in HD85 but these
folk have not been out blanketing nearby towns each weekend. And we have a
Sheriff, County Judge, and House race in Lubbock Co. and these folk have not
been putting in significant time for that. When the huge Neugebauer/Stenholm
race was on-going, these folks left Lubbock too for the fun of a campaign
trip. The state party bused in folks from elsewhere to field walk teams for
Neugebauer. What sense does that make? This "strike force" stuff is fine but
NEVER when there are local races which need volunteers. And don't believe a
claim that local races have somehow "released" these volunteers - that has
not happened. Campaigns have been trying to get these folk to work since the
beginning of September and most have never shown up to lift a finger doing
the real work. |

Lubbock City Council creates homeless committee
- puts you one step closer to taxpayers footing the Bum Bill. It may be
years but this is how the Left works, they chip away. Certain council

down the road. All of these deals start with some innocent sounding
committee or study. |

HD83: Charles Perry: Education, human services shouldn’t bear the brunt of
budget woes - already sounding the
RINO, and everyone said he was the radical far-right-wing candidate. Let's
hope this, and the school bond brain freeze, is temporary insanity.
Otherwise we'll be looking for primary candidates real fast. He's letting
the libs control the language by accepting the idea that cuts in budgets for
big-gov't bureaucracies is an attack upon the needy. If he's not any smarter
than this, then he's a HUGE disappointment. Everything he says is not wrong
but, in letting the libs control the language he throws his fellow
conservatives overboard and fuels the anti-reform, pro-big-gov't media
agenda. |

Cole says Lubbock must pay for mistakes in
wrongful conviction - we can

by past contractors and the City of Lubbock. But, for a human being who lost
his Liberty, and incidentally his life, we give the cold shoulder. This is
not just an accident, or so it seems, from the evidence. If it was just the
way things happen, a jury or arbitrator will discover such. |

LISD to use bond debt for items more suited for

interest the payoff is $415,000,000, more than twice the principal. That
means every item, an air conditioner, a faucet, a window, will cost you more
