Pratt,
You are absolutely right, and I believe the LPD followed all the rules, as did the prosecuting attorney. The city should step up and admit that our system is not perfect, but we should always look for ways to correct the mistakes to avoid them happening again.
While technology, which wasn't available at that time, played a key role in proving his innocence, as law enforcement officers, we should explore every known avenue of each case. I would also bet that the city attorney doesn't necessarily speak for the officers who were involved.
I believe we should seek to protect liberty as much as we strive to expose the criminal element. The Holocaust Museum in D.C. is a terrible reminder of what happens when we, as government officials fail to protect liberty first. I thank you for your passion on this.
