Pratt,
Just a brief rant about some comments I heard from Delwin Jones this morning on the way to work. You may use as you wish.
In his attempt to explain away the apparent lunacy of the voters in not returning him to office, Delwin made the comment that it was due to "political unrest" in the country and that "people were upset, but just didn't know what they were upset about".
Typical for a clueless incumbent, denied his Devine right of kings to remain
in office for life.
Delwin,
Yes, there is political unrest in this country. People are MAD, MAD I say (you
should know all about that). The thing about it is - contrary to your confusion
over this unrest is that we know exactly what we are upset about.
We are upset about ever increasing government spending.
We are upset about ever increasing taxes.
We are upset about the ever increasing size of government.
We are upset about ever increasing government debt being piled on us and future generations.
We are upset at our liberties being continually and unconstitutionally stripped away by big government.
We are upset with politicians who violate their oath of office and pass legislation that is clearly unconstitutional in the name of "fairness" or "security" or "fundamental rights" that don't exist.
We are upset about ever increasing government entitlement programs to buy votes.
We are upset about ever increasing pork use to buy votes.
We are upset about politicians whose primary goal is re-election and consider it their right to stay in office for life.
We are upset about politicians who lie about their political orientation during campaigns and then betray their constituency once elected.
We are upset at politicians who refuse to stand on principle and vote with their opposition and against the clear wishes of their constituency in order to be perceived as "bipartisan".
That's for starters Delwin. Still confused about why people are upset and turned you out?
I'd probably come up with more, but I have to go back to work to try and pay for all of the financial burdens politicians like you have placed upon small business. I don't have time to take naps in my office or on the floor of the legislature.
Yeah Delwin, we're upset. In fact, we're mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore. You ain't seen nothing yet. Just wait until November and see how many more of your ilk join you in the pasture.
