First, the AJ didn't do very well in recommending Kay
Bailey and Ronnie Earl. They both got slaughtered. Ronnie Earle was probably the
worst candidate in the State that the AJ endorsed.
I was also happy that Delwin Jones has been forced into a run off and may lose
his seat. He claims he has been office for over 29 years and in my opinion he
has been there at least 28 years too long. I heard that if by chance Delwin does
win again he is going to introduce a bill called the Delwin Jones Siesta Bill.
This bill would mandate a 2 hour siesta during every day that the Legislature is
in session. Delwin's motto would be "We got to stop all this rapping so it won't
interfere with my napping." If Delwin could get his nap during the siesta period
he might be able to stay awake to hear the debates on the bills before the
legislature.
