Pratt,
A few notes about Mark Griffin:
Griffin supported a liberal democrat over Carl Isett. It's in the ad and in the
news story that ran in the AJ at the time.
On the Tara property, The Rip Griffin Company, of which Mark is President and
General Counsel, got 1.2 million more for the property than the appraised tax
value.
Did the city give a gift to the Griffin Company? Or, was the property
significantly under-valued while Griffin was president of the Lubbock ISD school
board? LISD is both the biggest property taxer and the local government with the
greatest number of appointments to the Lubbock Central Appraisal District board.

Pratt responds:
The listener gets the facts and the questions
right. And this is precisely why I warn you to be very careful electing
life-long political-power-insider types. Once someone gets in a position where
they profit off of government spending, their motivation moves very far away
from representing the needs of taxpayers – no matter what they tell you in a
campaign.
Insider-types and Liberals are what have gotten us into the mess we are in. We
don’t need more.
