FOX24 reports: “An Andrews County homeowner shot a man after he forcefully entered the homeowner’s house, according to the Andrews County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say they responded to the 2300 block of SE 700 on Friday evening, around 9:43.

The home owner told police he informed 39-year-old Jesse Garza that he had called the police and they were on their way.

Deputies say Garza then forced his way into the homeowner’s house.

That’s when the homeowner fired a weapon at Garza.

According to the release, Garza fled the scene and left the property in a vehicle.

Garza was eventually located by deputies in the 100 block of SE 1700.

After being treated for gunshot wounds at MCH and Permian Regional Medical Center, Garza was brought into custody.

Garza is facing a charge for Burglary of Habitation and is currently being held at the Ector County Jail.
