Leftist twaddle only passes muster due to our skepticism deficit

Pratt on TexasA recent email from a Texas state university bureaucrat had within it a statement more worthy of comment than its line promoting homosexual advocacy which is what prompted a listener club member to share it with me.

This line, axiomatic to most only due to a lack of critical thinking and skepticism, caught my eye: “Breaking down barriers to find similarities within your team builds a reputation of valuing differences, which leads to high employee morale and increased productivity.”

Does this mean that it is productive for society to break down “moral” barriers? The context of the official memorandum certainly suggests that it is our moral boundaries which need destruction. When agencies attempt to force not only tolerance of but agreement with homosexuality, isn’t that what we are being asked to do, to leave our moral compass in the bottom drawer?

Twaddle: “Breaking down barriers to find similarities within your team builds a reputation of valuing differences, which leads to high employee morale and increased productivity.”

To those who buy into this common re-education which impels abandonment of traditional moral values I ask this: Would our work teams be more productive if we celebrated and valued the serial adulterers, braggart lotharios, and other sexual-activity defined members of our teams? How about those committed to what many call sexual harassment? How about having a racist on each team? That’s certainly a diverse viewpoint, would our teams benefit from that too?

Also, I would like to see hard evidence that more productivity comes from “teams” of people who do not share the general morals of others. Isn’t the entire teambuilding process one designed to get people sharing the same sense of themselves?

The Left wants it both ways. Its adherents want us to value differences, as long as those differences are not different from the dogmatic Leftist point of view.
