Democrats put homosexual agenda ahead of needy foster children

In seeking out more available foster homes for Texas children and youth in need, the Democrat method seems to be one certain to achieve the opposite.

Texas Democrats agree we need more foster homes but insist on policies which would keep a large number of homes closed to those who need shelter. Democrat policies could shut the doors to people of true biblical faith being foster parents which is possibly the largest community of potential foster homes.

Foster homes are not government owned and run institutions but instead are private homes and thus subject to the values of the heads of each household.

Rep. James Frank has worked hard to keep the goal focused on more good foster homes as opposed to advancing various Leftist Democrat political agendas and the House approved his HB 3859 which protects the religious practices and beliefs of those offering themselves as foster families.

“Led by Democrats, opponents called the bill a license to discriminate under the guise of religion that would favor Christian beliefs — and potential objections to non-Christian, single or LGBT Texans — over the welfare of children,” the Austin American-Statesman reported.

“Opposition was based on “fabricated hysteria,” said the bill’s author, Rep. James Frank, R-Wichita Falls. “This provides a reasonable accommodation to those who are helping solve our foster care crisis. This bill will make more foster care homes available ,” Frank said.

In this debate Democrats appeared more interested in pushing the homosexual political agenda than in finding more foster homes for those who desperately need them.

That fairly well sums up the ethos of that political party these days.
