You have a chance on November 8th to send into retirement an overly arrogant person who has lied to Texas voters for years. I’m not talking about Hillary Clinton. I’m talking about a Texas Court of Criminal Appeals judge named Larry Meyers.

Meyers has been on the court since 1992 and ran every time for that spot as a Republican but tells the Dallas Morning News “he’d always felt he was more of a “progressive”.” Meyers has finally switched parties after telling voters for over two decades that he was a Republican.

Meyer’s didn’t evolve into a liberal, he says he had always felt himself a “progressive” which for a century has meant an anti-Republican liberal.

Meyer’s didn’t evolve into a liberal, he says he had always felt himself a “progressive” which for a century has meant an anti-Republican liberal. Judge Meyers is a liar and on top of that, he’s the type of arrogant officeholder who thinks he can do whatever he wants.

Recently Meyers led a group of homeowners in Fort Worth near TCU in putting up fake “no parking” signs in the streets adjacent their homes. These were full metal pole with concrete base signs bearing what looked to be official city no parking signs. He’s a judge and he well knew that he and his neighbors have no right to decide on their own that parking on a publicly owned street is prohibited. But, I guess as a progressive Judge Meyers felt entitled to act outside the law just has he felt comfortable lying to Texas voters for decades.

Judge Mary Lou Keel will be taking on Meyers on the November ballot where he is finally listed honestly as a Democrat. While not my choice in the GOP Primary, Judge Mary Lou Keel will get my vote if for no other reason than to push arrogant, liar Larry Meyers into retirement on his big state pension.
