Julian Castro violated the Hatch Act, will it matter?

What is it with being an Hispanic liberal Democrat San Antonio mayor, then becoming Housing and Urban Development, or HUD, secretary, ending up with a reputation as a law breaker?

The latest to fit this pattern is the young far-Left Julian Castro, former San Antonio mayor, Obama-clone, and frequent name on lists of potential Hillary Clinton veep nominees.

According to an Office of Special Counsel report released Monday, HUD Secretary Julián Castro violated the Hatch Act, which restricts the political activity of some federal employees.

The department found he violated the act by “advocating for and against presidential candidates while giving a media interview in his official capacity on April 4, 2016,” the report states according to the San Antonio Express News.

The paper’s reporter explained that “The Hatch Act, passed in 1939, prohibits employees from using their official authority or influence to affect the outcome of an election…”

The OSC submitted the report and Castro’s response to President Barack Obama for “appropriate action.”

The last young Democrat star and mayor of the Alamo City to become HUD Secretary was Henry Cisneros – he ended up convicted but was pardoned by the scandalous Bill Clinton on his last day of office.

We moved on since that time. In today’s Washington few will bother with a prosecution of a high level Democrat cabinet member so no pardon will be needed for the radical Julian Castro as was needed for Cisneros.

It’s almost laughable that the special counsel submitted the report of law braking to Obama for “appropriate action.” What would that be? Either the trash can or the shredder?
