Pratt’s GOP Primary recommendation changes

After all the uproar from the Texas 19th Congressional District race this past week, I’ve updated my voter recommendations to say that the leading conservative candidates in this race are Glen Robertson, Donald May and Greg Garrett in that order. I had Robertson and Starr at the top previously.

I can no longer recommend Michael Bob Starr after his terrible handling of the disclosure of his participation in homosexual “pride” events; his blaming unseen conspirators for the press (Breitbart News) doing its job, and; Starr’s calling those “cowards” who worked to bring attention to his seemingly contradictory stances on the issue of the promotion of homosexuality in our culture.

Mr. Starr’s claiming that unseen big-money interests are behind the disclosure of his participation in homosexual “pride” events is particularly troubling given that Starr, is the candidate in the race with undisclosed big money interests backing his campaign since at least mid-January.

Personally, I like Starr. Politically I’m now very suspect of where he stands and how he’ll vote. The question asked by former GOP county chairman L. Scott Mann at the SandstormScholar.com is appropriate if uncomfortable: Will the real Michael Bob Starr please stand up?

I’ve made an update for Lubbock County races too, adding an endorsement of the campaign of Mr. Terence Kovar who is running for commissioner in Precinct 1. Kovar would be an improvement over the incumbent McCay.

I respectfully disagree….while I didn’t think it was necessary to go into ‘the weeds’ about the ‘who-why conspiracy’ theory, I totally understood the Colonel’s position as commander at the base and his obligation to be supportive of all members whether he agreed with their life style choices or not. Never having served in the military, I was appreciative of his explanation about the ‘I’ve got your back/you’ve got mine’ mentality. In this regard, I find it ridiculous that his ‘participation’ in the race is being construed as a ‘LGBT activist’. Thank you

It became necessary when Starr defended his active support of homoseuxal events and blamed the media for disclosing such as if that isn’t the job of the media. That is as troublesome as Starr’s activities. The bottom line is that Starr was happy to wear the t-shirt and actively promote the homosexual lifestyle on base as opposed to ojbecting to it. He had the guts to not follow Air Force regulations on other matters, so why not this?
