Trademark office misses mark on Redskins

Pratt,

You just have scratch your head I suppose.

U.S. Patent and Trademark Office canceled the Washington Redskins trademark reportedly because Trademarks that disparage or belittle other groups are not permitted under federal law.

This ruling pertains to six different trademarks containing the word “Redskin.”

Again, they have missed the mark.

The most disparaging name should be removed, but respectfully, that name some suggest easily would be “Washington”.
